Apple Consumer Software

There's plenty of good software available for the Mac; some of it even comes bundled with your new Mac. Learn more about using iLife, iChat, iTunes, GarageBand, and other Apple software.
iWeb '08
There aren't many easier ways to create a personal web site than with iWeb '08. It uses an intuitive WYSIWYG interface that is similar in look and feel to using a basic desktop publishing program. iWeb's only real flaw is that it limits automatic publishing to .Mac sites. If you host your web site anywhere else, you'll have to work a little bit harder to publish it.
GarageBand '08
GarageBand '08 will appeal to professional musicians and hobbyists alike. New features include Magic GarageBand, automation, arrangement editing, and multi-take capabilities.
iMovie '08
iMovie '08 is aimed at an entirely different target audience than previous versions. No longer a movie editing tool designed for big screen and/or long format films, iMovie has a new goal in life: the quick and easy creation of video clips for YouTube and .Mac. You can also store iMovie in your iTunes library, and use it to view videos on iPods and iPhones.
iPhoto ‘08
Apple added new features to iPhoto '08 without sacrificing its well-known ease of use and intuitive interface. The new editing and cataloging tools are winners.
